I don't know why but I'm one person that wouldn't want to run a family Business. it's seems there's always so much issues associated to it.

Running a family business that you might really have the skills, and interest for might crash the business and you might be seen as a failure in the family. Nobody is interested to know if you had the talent or skills to run such a business they believed you should naturally be able to run it.

Running a family business comes with bring unstable management of the business especially if one has other interests than just running the family business

A strong sense of unity, shared values, and efficient decision-making processes are just a few of the many benefits that family businesses can offer, but there are also some drawbacks. A family business may have the following disadvantages:

Inadequacy of objectivity: Personal biases and emotions can make it difficult for family members to make rational decisions. Conflict may ensue as a result, and the expansion of the business may be impeded.

Planning for succession is difficult: Family dynamics, personal relationships, and emotional attachments can make succession planning difficult in a family business. Uncertainty and potential business disruptions may result from this.

Limited talent pool: Because they may only consider family members for leadership positions, family businesses may have a limited talent pool. This may make it harder for the business to find and keep top talent.

Nepotism is a risk: Nepotism can be a problem in family businesses because family members may be treated better than other workers. Non-family employees may feel resentment as a result, and the company's reputation may suffer.

difficulty distinguishing between work and personal life: Personal and professional relationships can become intertwined in a family business, making it difficult to separate work and family life. This can be especially hard to do when there is conflict or stress.

Overall, family businesses have many potential advantages, but in order to ensure the business's long-term success and sustainability, it is critical to carefully consider these disadvantages and devise strategies to address them.

To me I think there are lot of demerits in Family businesses and you have made a lot of correspondence tasks about it but I look at it in another wayround
  1. Limited growth potential: Family businesses may be limited in their growth potential due to a lack of external funding and talent.
  2. Conflicts of interest: Family members may have conflicting interests and priorities, which can lead to disagreements and tensions within the business.
  3. Lack of professionalism: Family businesses may lack the level of professionalism and structure found in non-family businesses, which can impact their reputation and bottom line.
  4. Succession planning challenges: Succession planning can be difficult in family businesses, as it may be hard to decide who will take over the business and how ownership will be transferred.
  5. Personal issues affecting business: Family issues such as divorce, illness, or personal conflicts can spill over into the business, impacting its operations and success.

Managing a family business can be a good successful inheritance button as much as this could be a good successful kind of inheritance it is also important that we consider some of the disadvantages and demerits of managing a family business. One of the possible disadvantage of the merits of managing a family business is that majority of your employees will always be your family members which is absolutely not bad but if we should think about it in a critical way of sense they could be an interest in cultural affliction which absolutely will result to family conflict and tribal conflicts between families who may not be from the same personality or from the same location or who do not even speak the same language.

As a successful who manages a family business human absolutely face some sort of pressure from family members because they are looking up to you to manage the business just as your predecessors and any deviation from this can bring unnecessary embarrassment and insults.
