Recruitment agencies are business organisations that outsourcing contracts to look for potential candidates for employment for other business organisations and companies. There are some risks that are associated with running such a business from the side of the clients. I would also proffer possible solutions.
1) Client Reliance: Most recruitment agencies have a small base of clients that are big or within a particular sector that they rely on for their revenue streams. The risk with this is that the recruitment agency would be left stranded of these clients decide to take their patronage elsewhere. To mitigate against this, recruitment agencies should ensure that the diversify their clientele base to different kinds of clients and industries.
2) Client needs are constantly evolving: The needs of clients of recruitment agencies are evolving and failure to meet them can result in loss of clients. Recruitment agencies should stay updated on trends for recruitment accross different sectors and industries to be able to deliver to their clients tailor made employees.
