When it comes to building custom solutions for software there are a lot alternatives out there with the rise of the no code platform a lot of people are tapping into the ecosystem to develop tailor made mobile and web apps, this pose a challenge to the old custom of building solutions from scratch, does it make any sense to build from scratch and if it does are there challenges one might encounter in the cause of doing it.
I think the biggest challenge of building web apps from scratch is time cost, if you a founder and you have an idea that you have conceptualize, building an MVP is the next thing to do naturally, so if you are building from scratch you will spend a lot of time developing the prototype but with a no code tool you will be up and running in no time.
Another challenge is freedom, if you are hiring engineer to build for you they might decide to leave out some features, due to lack of expertise or other excuses but with a no code platform there are a lot plugins you can choose from that can simplify your work and give you the freedom to build whatever feature you want easily.
