Being a landlord can be financially rewarding as you would have expectation for a fixed amount of money to enter your life within a specific period. That could be really handy in this inflation ridden global economy. But there is a human element of being a landlord.
The human element of being a landlord demands that you are responsible for the wellbeing of people that are not your kids or related to you in any way. Your tenants would call you at every little issue, minor or major and you as the landlord has to turn up and fix the problem. Electricity disconnections, community issues, security issues etc need the landlord to help resolve.
It could be a rewarding experience but demands a high level of responsibility in your person and lot of leadership skills to scale.
