Does your savings account have the same amount in it that you have in your checking account? Do you have a budget and stick to it, even when it gets hard? Are you able to pay off all your bills on time every month? If not, are you doing something about it?
The more time we spend on our finances, the more clear it is that our financial lives are a reflection of us as individuals. If we don't know how to manage our money, we're not going to be happy with ourselves and neither will anyone else. And if we do know how to manage our money well, we're going to feel better about ourselves and be able to do more for others.
So while it's easy enough just to pay attention when things are going well, I think it's also important that we take some time each month or quarter (or whatever period works best for you) and evaluate what's working and what isn't. That way, when something doesn't look right or feels off kilter with where we want things to be financially speaking..
