Your resume is your calling card. It's what gets you an interview, and what gets you the job. But it's also really easy to make a bad impression on hiring managers with a resume that's full of typos or omissions.

Here are 6 ways to clean up your resume and show off your talents:

1. Check for misspellings and other errors! A good rule of thumb is: if it's not in the first paragraph, it's probably not important enough to include on your resume.

2. Be sure to show what you can do! Make sure that there is a clear way for the hiring manager to see how you can contribute to their company and don't forget to include your skills when possible!

3. Don't leave out any information even if it doesn't seem like it matters right now (or even at all). Hiring managers will want as much information about you as possible so they can get a good sense of who you are and what kinds of things might interest them about working with you in their company.

4. If there are gaps in your work history, be sure to explain why those gaps happened and what steps were taken since then so that hiring managers understand why they shouldn't be worried about them.

5. Don't forget to highlight any positive feedback you've received from supervisors, coworkers, or clients and don't just focus on the negative!

6. Don't just copy and paste a bunch of old school content. make sure the hiring manager can see where you've changed over time!
