Sunburns are obviously something that we all have to deal with at one point or another, but they can be especially painful when you're out in the sun. Here are four natural home remedies that will help ease the pain!

1. Homemade Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel is one of the oldest and most popular home remedies for sunburns. It's an incredibly soothing and cooling substance, which means it helps soothe your skin's surface and reduce inflammation. Just apply a generous amount onto your skin and let it sit on top of your burn for 15 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.

2. Distilled Water

Distilled water has some great anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it a great choice for treating sunburns as well as any other type of skin issue like eczema or psoriasis. Simply apply a generous amount of distilled water onto your burn until it turns clear, then allow it to sit on top of your skin for 10 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.

3. Ice Packs

A good way to reduce inflammation caused by sunburn is to apply an ice pack to the affected area for 20 minutes every hour for four hours straight. this should help reduce swelling as well as relieve pain caused by inflammation in your skin cells (this condition is called erythema).
