In any family business, the next generation's willingness to take action is necessary. There are lots of differences between each consecutive generation. But entrepreneurship does not have to be one of them. During the height of the pandemic, experts conducted some research to understand how business families were reacting to the pressures brought on by some of the dramatic changes in market conditions.
While the full analysis of that research is not complete, there is one statistic that caught expert’s attention that is particularly interesting. An attempt was made to learn more about how business families were leveraging entrepreneurship to address pandemic-related problems. So, family business owners were questioned about what percentage of their current sales stemmed from innovations developed since the pandemic began.
