Although it is the employer who employs the employee and the employee has built his obligations to play towards the employer yet the employer in turns has certain obligations as well as duties towards the employee, in a business organisation both staffs, workers and boss, are interrelated to each other and as a partnership firm they cannot do without each other skills, knowledge, ideas, responsibility, obligations, rights, and duties. yes this is important if the business vision is to succeed and prosper in the future. Now the duties of the employer towards his employee are numerous one of which include he has a duty to compensate all remunerate his employees for their good works and goes achievements, some employees try their best by giving out your time and energy in accomplishing organisational goals given to them by their employer so in one way or the other they have to be compensated or renoma rated by the employer or boss, another duty of the employer to the employee is that he must give the employee various rules and regulation in carrying out his or her task been assigned and where the employees made a mistake it is the employer's duty to call him out to correct the mistake he or she has made, and also it is the employers duty to give motivation, encouragement, as well as commendation to the employee for a job well done such little duties can have such a great impact on the employee yes because it will sharpens, smarten , and alert , the employees mind and knowledge.

The final part of safety programs that is written about and discussed a lot is the duties of employers to their workplaces. In general, it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that all aspects of the job are done in a safe manner, as well as to inform his or her employees on what they should do to make sure they are kept as safe as possible while they are working. Specifically, employers have several duties that they must fulfill

In order to be able to make an employee feel secure in his occupational status, the employer must make sure that he does not fire or discharge an employee just because he does not like him for personal reasons. Since this is the case, the law is clearly biased in favor of employees. The motivating factors for employers cannot be absolute nor isolated merely on matters of employment relations but must necessarily take into account social mores, prevailing mores and accepted standards of human conduct.

Duties of an employer to his employees:1.To provide sufficient food, clothing and medical aid to the employees.

2.To pay the wages of his workmen regularly.

3.The liability of the employer for the wrongs done by his workman is joint and several

3. To secure and preserve opportunities for employment

4. To fix the conditions of service. These duties may be enforced by an action in tort, if failure to perform lead to unemployment and thus pecuniary loss. The common law duty of an employer to staff can be no greater.

The duties of duties of the the employers to their employees are very direct and simple but the problem is that some employers are not really seeing their role they are suppose to play rather they want the employees to do more than the duties of an employee.

One of the major role of an employer is the make sure the remuneration of the employees are paid as agreed and they should ensure it is not delayed without proper notice and a very good reason. But this point is always violated by some employers they take undue advantage and influence over their employees and sometime they deliberately delay their pay without any good reason and thry fail to communicate the reasons to their employees. This things also happens in the public sector. We have seen situations where public workers will be owed for months and the government will form deaf ears to the complaint of their employees which is bad.

The employers should also make sure they provide the necessary tools and equipment the employees require to carry out their duties, observing all safety rules to ensure that the lives of their staffs and workers are not put at serious risk. Again some employers fails to do this so as to increase profit and minimize cost. This is also associated with the public sector aswel. The government do not make provision of the necessary tools for workers to Carryout their jobs effectively and efficiently, this can be seen in the health sector and we have witness doctors and nurses running away from the country as a result of poor working conditions and lack of the right tools for them to discharge their duties.

They are also responsible for making sure the working conditions and environment is conducive enough for all staffs. And give them their promotion and increment of pay as at when due.

Of course, it is the employer's business, so there are a lot of responsibilities in which he or she has towards the employees. It is the duty of an employer to employee competent employees in his business in order to make it very successful on the long-run. if an employer is not proactive then his employees will likely not be pro active and that is the reason why it is important for anyone that wants to venture into any business to have proper business knowledge and understanding because the employees may actually like that. It is the duty of an employer to motivate his employees like someone have stated. If there is no motivation in a particular business then the output may actually be smaller or minute as the case may be. it is proper for an employer to always pay his employees very early because this motivates them to work if I were to ever in order to make the business successful. the safety of the employees lies in the hands of the employer and in this case the employer must do everything possible in order to protect his workers from any kind of danger and accidents in workplaces.

I had been an employer before and until now I am the employer of our housemaid. My take on handling the employees is to consider them as part of the family like a nephew or niece maybe. That way I wouldn't be too strict as to hurt their feelings when they do something wrong in the business. But when it comes to learning I am still strict regardless of the consideration or the affiliation. My duty to my employees is to see that they are being compensated fairly and has a good working condition. It is not easy to be a good employer because we have to admit that there are abusive employees who will be taking advantage of a considerate employer. There has to be the balance always between the power of the employer and the performance of the employee.

It's also the duty of the employer to make sure that the employees have a very good conducive environment for working, the employer she take it as a point of duty to upgrade and update every tools, machines or whatsoever that is being used in the working space, so the workers can work with ease and produce better result. This is one thing many employees today are seriously lacking, employees are forced to work in an environment that is not good enough for them.

It is the duty of every employer to give all statutory compensation and benefits. There are laws that mandate the minimum benefits that an employee should receive and all employers should be able to provide these benefits. In many cases, employers provide above-average benefits to entice their employees to stay longer with the company.

Employers should be able to provide a safe, healthy, and non-threatening work environment for their employees. This means making sure that the work environment does not present anything that can unnecessarily endanger the physical, mental, and emotional health of their employees. Health hazards should be addressed and risks should be managed. A company should be able to pass workplace quality standards given by the local or national government. Depending on the size of the company, some may be required to hire a nurse or other medical personnel on the worksite. A grievance committee should be set in place to handle employee complaints and provide a venue for conciliation.

It is the duty of the employer to make sure that the business is well-managed and operating ethically. The livelihood of the employees depends on the company's longevity and existence and when the business is threatened by lawsuits or closure, it brings insecurity and has far-reaching effects on the life of each employee.
