People who are entrepreneurs and have enough knowledge of what it takes to really become rich in this world today tend to be the ones that usually choose what career is their children would pursue.

Even though they may not make this clear, but it is obvious from happenings around that they are usually the ones that tell their children what course to study in the universities and they have their reasons for doing so.

I believe that it is certainly because they already know what is coming up in the future and usually make sure that their children study courses that will only be relevant to them in the future, and enable them to exploit such courses and make money from it by coming up with top-notch things that will be on demand by the future.

Rich people do not make their children to study courses simply because they believe those courses will guarantee them to secure a job but they already know that there are no more jobs available and their training their own children to be employers of labour and not employees

I hope you now understand why rich people choose their career for their children so as to not let them go and choose blindly.

The reasons may not be so far fetched as we know that wealth most times truly intoxicate a person, rich people always have the believe that they can always get what so ever they want to get, and they believe the whole world is actually meant for them and they could get anything and everything at their beck and call. So this power always intoxicate them to controlling everything around them. They even decide who lives and who dies, so make decisionsfor their children not only on issues bothering on education and career but also on issues as serious as marriage. They determinethe class, type of person their children will spend the rest of their lives on. This really goes a long way in shaping the lives of their children. Sometimes we notice that this rich folks don't even have enough time to spend with their kids and the kids sometimes do crazy and irresponsible things and most times get away with it, due to their financial status. Then many of them most times turns out to be spoilt despite all the money and quality of education they get from their rich parents. Been rich does not guarantee success most times.

@Kingsley exercising search high level of power and trying to influence children's decision is not on common with rich people , and this is something that usually affect your children's being able to stay focused in the society and get things done appropriately.

There is always a need to make sure we let kids be kids and Allow them to do what they feel I good to them selves , especially if it is not some thing that has got the potentials of ruining their lives . If you try to exercise so much control on them at all times , it goes a long way in limiting their ability to stay productive and getting things done rightly as they ordinarily should have been able to do .

There are so many rich kids out there who are still struggling to get things right , and this is due to the fact that their parents did not give then enough opportunities for them to try to do things on their own . This is sure going to serve as a disadvantage to them and limit their being productive in the society . This is why it is important for parents to let them have some chance .

We all know that the future of the child lies in the hands of the parents, this is one reason most parents feel like choosing a career path thier kids which Is not suppose to be so. Orientations or career guide could be carried out so as to give advice and career recommendations. But the decision lies on the child and not the parents. A child should be supported with any career chooses except for the bad onces. The child should be able to give a valuable reason why he/she chooses what he choose to their parents and explain if at all there would be a positive outcome of it. Parent on the other hand should help giving recommendations and ideals of jobs and profession. They can help in choosing one if the child has no career choice or feel confused on which part to follow. Do well to tell the advantage and disadvantage of the part they've chooses so as to make them have second thoughts and choose the right part suitable for them.

@Ayuba Ernest You are right about that and this is what so many parents tend to do miss out on and their children end up becoming what they did not even want to do . As a matter of fact , when ever you as a parent want your child to go into a specific profession , it is very important to a least make them to understand why you think that it is going to be a very nice one for them .
When you let them think through with you and come to realise the potentials that is available in such profession , they would then understand with you and make sure they no longer complain about the restrictions anymore .

This is what some wise parents do and their children are happily studying the courses that their own parents chose for them .

In my country, some parents just miss out and this is what makes the whole thing difficult . They make it look as though they were some all knowing beings and make it obvious that their decision for such kids is usually the best without even letting the kids understand Their reason for doing so .
