It is very correct that blogging requires lesser equity because you can start it with just a computer and internet connection but vlogging may require a lot of additional equipment like cameras, microphones and some editing softwares.

Vlogging offer opportunities because you can collaborate with brands that are actually looking for ways to reach larger audience through video content and this could lead to sponsored content and what is called a brand deals.

On the other hand, blogging allows you for more flexibility when it comes to content production and publishing because you can write and publish articles at your own pace and work with fun.

Blogging and vlogging can be monetized effectively only if you have accumulated a large following with an interactive audience. Vlogging is also more profitable since video content has a great influence on most online platforms, such as YouTube and generates up to high traffic rate of views. In addition to making money from content monetization, trendy vloggers also earn through advertising and sponsorship. On the other hand, it is very easy to start blogging without incurring filming or editing costs. Both of them depend on a constant flow of high-quality content that will be attractive to their viewers.

It is not possible to give an exact answer. Profitability depends on a lot of factors including but not limited to content quality, content creation skills, SEO and digital marketing strategy, etc. If you are a good writer with SEO skills bit a bad video creator, you might profit more form blog. Likewise, if you cannot rank your blog on search engines but you are good with video content, you will benefit more by vlogging. Vlogging is more of a technical skills, you need video making and editing skills
