This crypto was developed by David Muller on 2014, it was aimed to be ASIC resistant. Vertcoin is written in C++ programing language,
its ticker Symbol is VTC.
Vertcoin utilizes on proof-of-work (POW) algorithm, it is mine-able but hard to mine. The hash function of this crypto was originally Verthash, but was changed to Lyra2RE, to prevent attacks. Block reward of Vertcoin is 25 and Block time 2:30 minutes.
Maximum supply of this crypto is 84 million VTC, more than 58 million are currently circulating in the coin market. Many exchangers like Bittrex, Dove, SouthXchange etc have VTC in their trading pairs list.
