So you want to move out of state,? Well, we're here to tell you that the first step is figuring out how much it's going to cost.

First things first: how much money do you have? If it's not enough, don't even think about moving. You'll just end up spending more money than necessary and create an unnecessary burden on your already-tight budget. If it is enough, though, it's time to start thinking about what kind of vehicle (car or truck) will work best for your situation.

Then it's time for the fun part: research! Which state is going to be cheapest for housing? Which cities are most affordable? What kind of job market does each have? Does your family need child care? College tuition? Once you've got all this information at hand, you can start making plans!

If moving seems daunting because of the cost or because it's not the right fit for your family, don't worry. just take baby steps! Start by finding an affordable rental property or house in another state (or two). Then look at what schools are available in those areas; maybe one day next year would be a good time for moving if school
