What does it mean to work smart?

We have been hearing the saying 'you don't need to work hard again, you just need to work smart. The crux of this article is the concept of smart work. What does it mean? Is it that you have to be cunning and crafty in your work? Smart work generally entails a person knowing what to do per time to achieve maximum results. It recognizes the importance of strategy rather than energy. It has to do with navigating tasks with strategic moves rather than the physical expense of energy.

So many people are always doing activities. They are always busy. But their results are always very small. Take, for instance, the man that matches the sewing machine to sow clothes. The other man doesn't know how to sow. He just has an online space where he advertises clothes, gets orders, and gives them to the machine-matching guy. He pays the guy to match the machine for him while he has the brand.

Smart work conserves energy and increases efficiency.

It means that you are doing your work with a high-quality output. You are working smarter, not harder or longer.

If you're not working smart, you're not going to make it.

But what is "smart"?

It's the ability to figure out how to do things faster and more efficiently than other people. You can be working at the speed of light, but if you're not working smart, that doesn't mean much.

Smart people are able to find ways to get more done in less time; they use technology as a tool, not an end in itself. They don't waste time on unimportant details—they know how to prioritize and focus on what's really important. Smart people know that nothing is ever wasted if you can apply it in some way—and they do!

Smart people think about things differently from others—they don't get caught up in the same old patterns of thinking or doing things that have been done before. They see things differently, and those differences lead them down paths others never would have considered.

Working smart is depends on intellect and leverage, this is easy to understand using a simple example, let's say two people have a task of farming a 2 acres each, the first one comes with a hoe and start making ridges since 3am and by 12pm he was only able to make 200 ridges which is approximately 1/6 of the farm, all this while the smart worker was at the beach cooling off under a palm tree sipping pina colada.

By 12pm the smart worker put on his hat and drive his tractor with a ridge maker plough attached, he started ploughing the farm and making ridges simultaneously and within 4 hours he was able to farm the 4 acres.

This is the most basic example of smart work, to use leverage in driving efficiency, working with technology is leverage, making videos is smart work, zoom video is smart work among others.

Indeed from hearing the word smart you will immediately have the impression that being positioned in such a way will give you some edge compared to those who aren't.

It is always very advisable that the application of smartness while working is done and this has so many benefits on the worker and the work itself.

Sometimes, the hard worker will use a huge amount of time and exert much energy before carrying out a task which the smart worker will use less time and exert little energy in doing. And at times even the quality of work which is produced by someone who works smartly is relatively higher than that which a hard and unsmart worker will produce.

So personally I agree with you and remain an advocate of the notion of working smart not just hard. At times you will have to work both hard and smart but the main idea is the application of smartness into what you're doing.

Most individual work very hard and yet remain broke but other individuals work very smart and yet take back home a whole lot of money in which they have earned for themselves. It is indeed true that we are advised to work Smart and not to work hard. All the hard work is very important for an individual to make money financially but over working ourselves can totally bring to our bodies dehumanizing effects. One of the ways that we can ensure to work Smart is by employing the use of technology in whatever business we do.

The use of machine accelerates the pace in which we take in making sure that goods and services are available for sale and for rendering to the final consumers that is our clients and customers. The use of machines and equipments in our business can also make our goods and services to be perceived as a neat and professional. Packaging and branding of goods is also a way to work Smart, and that is because when we package and brand our business goods and services it helps to pass the information or effectiveness and speciality to the minds of our customers and clients who patronize our products.

it is always good to work Smart than working hard with working smart you are applying more knowledge and taking the short way of doing things in a more efficient way while working hard is you expending more energy and effort in completing a simple task that if one is skillful the person can work smarter than one that just want to employ efforts to do the same job

for example two persons that want to cut down a tree A take out fine to sharpen the Cutlass to be used, the other person just go ahead to start cutting the tree even when the cutlass is Blunt. The one that took time to sharpen the cutlass before trying to cut will cut the tree faster than the one that started out hours ago with blunt cutlass trying to cut down the tree

So the first person that was trying to sharpen the cutlass will be faster and efficient with the work

I think everyone have a specific understanding or idea of what they believe it means to work smart. Most people today assume working smart means to completely eliminate hard work. This is exactly why most people today go into dubious activities, they believe they are working smart by cheating others or being cunning. Personally i feel working smart, also means keep working hard but be smart about it, in the sense that why working hard, look for ways that would be less time consuming and can also generate more profit. Lets take factories that make use of machines, machines are way faster, they save time and as where produce more which means the owner is making more money without increasing the work time and how the amount of energy spent.

When most individuals hear the phrase" work Smart not hard" they usually keep themselves thinking on what exactly this phrase means, and majority of individuals have ended up believing that it is totally impossible for them to work Smart because hard work is totally the key To success. The point here is that, hard work is totally important but when we replace that hard work with a little bit of smartness we can totally work for longer periods of time without even getting tired or without even getting stressed out, but instead we will wish of staying more and more to make the most out of The activity we are engaging ourselves in.

Basically what that means is that we need to employ the use of equipment and the use of machines, in our working process because with the use of machines and equipments, we can definitely accelerate the pace of our hard work and also returned energy to carry out all the activities of life. Let's take for instance agricultural activities, farmers will always use hoes, matches, cutlass, and axe to carry out farm activities in the farmland which no doubt consumes and takes a huge and reasonable amount of energy and strength, but with the use of farm machines such as tractors, harvesters, tillers, and sprayers , a farm owner is more likely to work faster and easier which totally amounts of constitute the ability of working smarter.

I like your explanation of working smart. working smart simply means doing the right things at the right time and being able to achieve maximum results at the end of the day. A lot of people are always busy but at the end of the day they will not be able to achieve anything any result.

It is also important and necessary to know that hard work and smart work should be combined in order to be able to make something reasonable at the end of the day. Hard work simply means that you are always very ready to work consistently in order to be profitable.

Smart work means you are simply doing the right thing at the right time and you don't necessarily need to take a lot of time in order to achieve maximum results. it is also important to know that you can be working hard but you will not be able to achieve something reasonable.

Working smart is different from working hard in the sense that if you're working smart you are likely to achieve what an hardworking person will have to spend a whole lot of energy doing with the application of knowledge and technology.

And hardworking person will believe that the best way of making his or her business progressive is by putting energy in the business by staying till late at night. This does not necessarily mean that staying late at night will help more people to buy from his or her business but it's just like a strategy the business owner thinks will work to make his business becomes a bit better.

But at the same time a smart working person do not really have to stay a whole night to sell, a smart person believe that the best way they could get client for business is through constant advertisement, giving of free product of incentive to the best buying customers and other offers.

Working smart is making the most effective and efficient use of all of your resources, including time and energy. It is about making the most of your efforts and completing your tasks as quickly as possible. Working smart means being self-motivated and driven. It means taking initiative and ownership of your work, and not waiting for someone else to tell you what to do. It also means being accountable for your actions and results, and taking responsibility for your successes and failures. Working smart also involves being adaptable and flexible. This means being willing to change your approach or strategies when necessary, and not getting stuck in a rigid mindset.
