My take on this is this: First of all business structure is a formal arrangement of activities carried out at various levels of an organisation so that the objectives, goals and targets of the business can be met.
An organisation structure defines the duties and responsibilities of all the workers and the hierarchy of power from the CEO down to the sweeper shows who would report to whom.
A well laid down structure is likely to organise the workers and enhances the division of labour in the proper way and therefore is likely to lead to the success of the business because;
Each employee knows their duties and responsibilities on the organisation.
There is no conflict or confusion of the workers on the organisation since each one of them knows their work to do.
It ensures proper control which in turn promotes efficiency on the organisation.
Remember poor laid down business structure is likely to lead to the failure of the business.
Business structure saves time, energy and effort. This is because with the proper laid down business structure, the manager has an easy time in monitoring and evaluation of the human resources as everyone works on their sections and thus work in order as it is stipulated on the structure.
