Webmasters are meant to develop and manage sites, be in charge of the search engine optimization, advertisement monitoring, security of sites, user support, web analytics, SEO tasks, team play and being up-to-date. In some cases this will involve the management of technical infrastructure; at other times it will mean generating accurate content; it could also mean optimizing for user experience; monitoring performance metrics is another task; implementation of security measures should be done after that; however, providing user support is a must in order to meet the needs of their users’ information requests; data analysis is another thing; so as to improve search visibility one has to work on its site’s rankings at google.com or other search engines like yahoo and MSN; this can entail working with teams from other departments within an organization or even outside it.
