Ways of preventing conflict among workers

Point of contact is always point of conflict. There is no way different people from different backgrounds who have contact with one another won't have any disagremment. There is bound for disagreement but we only need to settle it amicably for the progress of the business.

However, like I said, we cannot prevent totally conflict among workers but we can put some preventive measures in place in order to forestall the conflict which may set back the business goals.

Having separate offices for workers. Instead of having large office to accommodate all your workers in one place, you can demarcate the place to accommodate the workers. This will prevent frequent contact among these workers.


Setting up disputes resolution. If conflict ensures, there should be disputes resolution panel. This panel will listen to grievances from the aggrieved members and settle the dispute amicably. This panel may comprise of external body in order to ensure neutrality.


Avoid office romance. Do everything as possible as you can do in order to prevent office romance. When the workers are allowed to date or even marry among themselves, there may disputes because the couples may bring their grievances from home to office.


Heavy sanction. There should be heavy sanction for people that fight in the office. It may be reduction in salary, suspension and any other means to serve as deterrent for others.

In a business that involve many workers it is always good to have a memorandum of operation this is like a regulation or principle which every member of the business must obey this principles should be enforced with penalties and for sure peaceful coexistence will exist between workers
