The art of communication has been the key reasons why many business flourish and has which their highest potential , it has also been the reason why many businesses enjoy the profits , respect , and prestige in which they enjoy today . To me I believe that communication is the mother of business success followed by all other aid to trade like transportation , insurance , tourism , etc . A lot of businesses today well as a result of lack of good communication . Although some of them communicate but yet some areas which communication really matter the most are restricted .

In a business environment , communication comes in both ways , that is upward communication and downward communication . Upward communication refers to the kind of communication where the subordinate that is the employees interact with the high authorities that is the manager . Some of the things employees communicate with their manager could be : informations about a given task being assigned to them , employees also communicate what they see wrong with the business environment to their managers .

On the other hand downward communication involves the communication that has to do with interaction from the higher authorities that is the manager to the subordinate . in a business environment managers communicate with the employees by assigning tax and business objectives for them to achieve for the day , they also communicate by showing gratitude or giving motivation to an employee as a result of that being carried out by him or her . Whatever ways or medium communication choose to follow in a business environment one thing is sure that is . It has to be genuine cause genuine communication not restricted helps a business in the act of decision making .

It is very true that business communication exist into broadway's which are upward communication model and downward communication model. Upward communication model involves when superiors gives detailed information as well as duties to their subordinates who exist in the business organisations as employees and workers. However downward communication model involves when employees and workers communicate with their superiors especially based on roles and duties performed in order for their superiors and manages to reach their performance and possibly encourage or commended.

To make sure that effective communication is basically applied in a business organisation the business manager and the business owner shouldn't restrict employees from sharing in the decision-making activities of the business organisation. Most of the times problems bothering the business organisation could be solved based on suggestions and opinions given by employees. Majority of employees are very much smarter in giving decisions to business problems but you can never know this unless you give them the privilege to communicate.
