According to a recent study, walnuts might be an especially wise choice. And researchers haven't arrived to this conclusion before. The same researchers previously found that, when compared to other diets, diets enriched with walnuts resulted in lower levels of total and LDL ("bad") cholesterol. This analysis involved 365 study participants across 13 trials. Since then, a number of studies have been published, each with a significantly larger sample size and longer follow-up.

In this most recent review, data from 26 earlier studies with over 1,000 participants were merged; in comparison to those following a typical diet, those consuming a walnut-enriched diet had:

a 3% higher reduction in total cholesterol of roughly 7 mg/dL
a 4% higher reduction in LDL cholesterol (by roughly 5.5 mg/dL)
decrease in triglycerides
All these research had been made in university teaching laboratory in america.
It has been proved that walnut is very good for health purpose if consumption is minimal according to the world health organization.
