You were really comprehensive about this. I hope a lot of people would get to read about these consequences and desist from this action that would caused a lot of issues for both the user and the site or brand owners.

Like you rightly stated when 1 or 2 persons write a fake positive review about a product or brand, good it might be patronized by buyers but when the products have been used and it's different from what was expected then that can be the end of that brand. By the time people write a bad review about the product of course no body will want to buy any longer and this means not just a loss to the sales level even the reputation of the business will be ruined.

So this simply indicates that you can hide with a bad product for long because bad reviews will surfaced to alert people to dump your product or brands.

So the best bet here is to make your brand outstanding and products of higher standard and you would get from people very genuine reviews that will skyrocket your demands and love for your brand or product.

Fake reviews are simply just that, fake reviews. It's funny how people waste alot of resources in writing fake reviews, but the truth of the matter is that these reviews would not change the products itself. You might actually attract some persons with does reviews, but in the end people would surely find out the truth about your products or services and it would actually be worse when you are exposed for trying to trick the public.

Fake reviews also pose additional problems in that they mislead consumers to spend money with a business or on a product they may not have otherwise chosen.
  • Reputation Damage
  • Decreased Revenues
  • Ranking Problems
  • Serious Penaltie

We agree, fake reviews are a scam on customers and users. But it's not just cheating, it's also a blow to your own reputation. When a person buys a product from you after reading a positive (fake) review about it, and then encounters low quality of the product, he realizes that he was cheated. Of course, after that he will write everywhere about this deception. The deception will be exposed one way or another.

Well explained. Many companies acknowledge that fake positive review is a form of fraud, yet lot of them choose to ignore that fact. These companies use fake positive reviews to make their products or services appear high rated in order to attract more sales. By writing fake positive reviews and giving fake high star ratings, these companies are not only misleading their customers, but also sending themselves down a dangerous path.

When selling a bad product or service, these companies attempt is to hide the poor quality or poor service. But they don't know that it won’t provide them with lasting protection against what's real. Buyers will only buy products if they see some value in it. These buyers will then share their experience, it could be positive or negative, with friends, family, co-workers and many others. They also share their experiences on store and product review websites. These actions can destroy an excellent business reputation.
