A workplace that is toxic will be counter productive to the output of the company. Toxicity can emanate from top to bottom or from bottom to top but the thing is that it affects the working environment negatively.

There are many signs that can help you determine whether your workplace is toxic. Some of them include:

A high level of employee turnover. A high turnover rate can be an indication of a toxic environment, which is why it's important to take steps to address the issue.

A lack of support for employees who are trying to make changes in their work lives.

Low morale among employees and their managers.

The existence of bullying in the workplace.

How do you know if your company is a toxic environment? Here are some signs that might indicate this:

Employees are afraid to speak up when they have concerns about their managers or co-workers.

Employees feel isolated from each other and don't know how they can help each other succeed at work.

Employees feel pressured by their managers or co-workers to take on more work than they want or need to do, even if it means sacrificing personal time or health issues.

You are right with your mentioned. There always high level of bullies in such workplaces. They do not care if you are frustrated or not is that they even take delight seeing you go through frustrations and depression. Funny enough you can't even leave because you might yet to see something better than will warrant you to move. But my point about life is always that why can't people just live and other people do same. Life isn't has hard as people make it to be. Like the music legend( Michael Jackson) made us to know in his music. We can all make the earth a better place to live in. It is absolutely possible if we set our minds on it.

The truth is that toxicity doesn't make or bring anything good. So it is better now to reduce the toxic behavior so that the output in the workplace will increase through team work.

Although all employees and business owners do not want a toxic work environment, a toxic work environment will flow or grow gradually so that it becomes chronic. It is more unavoidable if a toxic environment occurs by superiors or company owners who always feel powerful and right, so that employees who have worked hard are not respected and appreciated. Often there is discrimination against a group of people or individuals, causing jealousy. Working hours that exceed government regulations will also be toxic.
If you are a business owner, of course you have to learn what causes a toxic work environment, after that you will be able to solve the problem. But if you are just an employee, it will certainly be more difficult because you do not have the power to act, let alone the occurrence of toxics caused by narcissistic and arrogant bosses/business owners.
