Well a lot of people might believe that seeking advice in businesses is perfectly normal , yes I also believe that it is the best to get some idea about the type of business you are interested to start BUT seeking advice unnecessarily just because you don't want to make mistakes in your business sometimes may not always be the best option because this could leads to a lot of things that could possibly affect your business negatively .

If you seek advice unnecessarily two things is likely to happen which are :

1) CONFUSION: When trying to sets up a business it is a wise decision to stick to certain people to get most information and guidance from, if we are the type of people who seeks advise from anyone we comes across it might lead to confusion .

We have to understand that when so many ideas are being raise it might be very difficult for you to focus on exact one that could brings progress to your business.. you can't see multiple football coach advising players at the same time.

2) IT MIGHT LEAD TO RECEIVING WRONG ADVICE FROM INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE : it is only few expert that can gives you the best information on how you can start up and succeed your business field , seeking information and advice from random people might exposed you to bad business strategy and advice which could possibly have a dangerous effect in your business. Having few experience mentors to advise us on different areas of our business is the best option.

I totally agree with what you have said here. Seeking advice is great but we have to be careful who we trust to guide us. That requires you to choose your mentors very wisely. You cannot keep asking advice from just anyone you see running a business. It should be someone who has the ability to guide you.

First, you should consider the type of niche your business deals with. Then go for those experienced people who run a business in the same niche. You cannot ask a real estate agent to guide you on a fashion design business. You have to an experienced fashion designer.

Secondly, the person you ask for advice should have proof of success in that business. It should not be someone who dropped out or is just a manager of a business inherited but does not know how to run it alone without the employees. I prefer going for those people at the top who started their own business from scratch.

Lastly, make sure that the person you take advice from have your best interest at heart. Some people may mislead you out of jealousy or because you are going to be their competitor. Also remember not to do everything you are told. Hear the advice but choose what works best according to your understanding.

This thread is really on point, seeking business advise out of what is necessary is actually termed action faking by MJ Demarco, people like that hardly do anything remarkable, all what they do is ask endless questions about what could go wrong or what could go right, because of this they get stuck into the analysis paralysis dungeon which is very hard to get out of.

After getting a business the next thing you should be looking at is starting and if you have people with a tracked level of success you can ask them questions and hear their opinion don't let what they say stop you, just use it as a side note and forge ahead, you'll learn all what you need to learn when you start.

Because you'll interact with your customers and they will be the one that should advise because they're the ones consuming your product or services.

Those people are perfectionist and they don't want to make mistakes so laughable because every business makes mistakes continuously it is how they manage the problem and mistakes that will prove their worthiness in business.

And till this date their isn't any business that doesn't make mistakes, that's why their is competition in the field so it's either you go hard or you go home.

No one is completely perfect , even Masters , experts , and gurus in online and offline money making sometime needs encouragement and advice . Business owners today Lord it over themselves as being perfect , they claim to know everything when it comes to business and handling other business-related activities . The truth is that having an attitude like this shows pride and you can agree with me pride is not good in a business environment . If a business runs with the present of pride in their midst devastating and unrepairable effects could happen .

young entrepreneurs and inexperienced business owner seek advice from advance and experienced entrepreneurs , it could be as a result of developing a new business idea , it could be on various topics like rebranding , product upgrade, how to improve customer services , how to reach potential customers , and how to encourage the act of warehousing etc . It is often said " iron sharpens iron " and same is applied to human beings " the knowledge of another person can sharpens the questions of another person " . So feel free to seek advice from your fellow colleagues and fellow business partners especially in things you don't understand because we grow by seeking advice .
