The Campanile Foundation (TCF), a San Diego State University (SDSU) auxiliary, received its first crypto donation in October 2021. The institution has now stated that donations in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) will be accepted (ETH).
TCF's chief financial officer, David Fuhriman, stated that one percent of the total crypto holdings would be withdrawn quarterly to fund campus activities aimed at figuring out how the university could interact with crypto, such as developing a system that would allow for more digital transactions within the university.
Meanwhile, the remaining monies will be converted to BTC and will not be liquidated right away, in the hopes that the price would rise in the future, allowing more programs to benefit.
