Retirement savings is a big part of life, and it's easy to feel like you don't have enough. But if you know what you're doing, retirement savings can be a real game-changer for your future.

Here are some tips on how to make sure that your retirement savings are on track:

1. It's important to know how much money you'll need in order to live comfortably in retirement. This can be very different from person to person, so it's important not just take someone else's word for it! The best way to figure out what kind of lifestyle will work best for you is by doing research into the costs of living in different areas around the country (and even internationally).

2. You want to make sure that your investments are growing at a rate that will allow them to support your needs as they change over time and also give them room for growth if necessary! If an investment isn't growing fast enough or isn't providing enough income for its value at current prices then there may be problems later on down the road when unexpected costs come up unexpectedly (like medical bills).

3. You must contribute to an IRA or 401(k) plan by April 1 of each year if you want any tax benefits from them.

4. You can make contributions up until age 70½ and withdraw funds penalty-free after that date.

5. If you're not yet eligible for Social Security benefits, then a Roth IRA may be a better choice than a traditional IRA because it will allow you access tax-free withdrawals after age 59½ while still allowing any earnings within those funds grow tax-free (up until age 59½).
