When they want to buy a home, most buyers avoid the ground floor or the top floor. Even if they find a property and it meets all the criteria set by them, the floor problem can radically change their final decision. Because every decision made brings with it both pluses and minuses, and in this case you have to weigh the decision well.

The buildings on the ground floor, whether we are talking about those located in old blocks or in new ones built, offer some advantages over those upstairs:

• Price - Compared to the apartments located on an intermediate floor, those on the ground floor have a lower price;
• Easy access to the house - You will not have to climb many stairs (if the block does not have a lift). You have to consider this aspect for several reasons, among which: if you have elderly people in the family, a house on the ground floor will help them a lot; at the same time, if you want to redecorate the house, you will avoid climbing the stairs or the elevator of the furniture, of the construction materials or of other large objects;
• Thermal comfort - Being located on the ground floor, during the summer the building will be very cool and you will not need air conditioning;
• You do not need an elevator - If the building has several floors and only has an elevator, it is certainly a waste of time waiting for the elevator, and sometimes it can stop due to errors. Thus, having a house on the ground floor, you will not face such situations;
• No neighbors downstairs - Many homeowners face noise issues, especially if they have children or pets. With a house on the ground floor you will not bother anyone and you will get rid of this stress;
• Own yard - Many buildings on the ground floor also have a green sapphire, which is an asset. This space can be transformed into a garden, a playground for children, a terrace, etc.

There are also some disadvantages of a ground floor home:

• Degree of security - It is one of the most visible and serious disadvantages. A potential solution involves installing lattice windows or a surveillance system;
• Less privacy - Because the windows face the sidewalk and the street, people passing by may see inside your home. You can use the installation of blinds or curtains;
• Cold in the cold season - This problem can occur if the building is in an old building or the insulation system is not of good quality or is outdated. Usually, in a ground floor apartment, the temperature is 5 degrees lower;
• More noise - Why? Because, as I specified above, the windows face the street and at the same time, being close to the stairs of the block, you will hear when each neighbor enters or leaves;
• Lack of view - An apartment on the ground floor will not benefit from a panorama, and the view will be more limited.

Thus, if you are preparing to watch a building on the ground floor, pay attention to these advantages and disadvantages and also to all the particular details on the spot, so as not to regret the decision taken.

Wow thats very interesting, just as you said earlier staying in the upstairs seems to have much more advantage than staying in the downstairs, one will be much more comfortable in the upstairs unlike the ones in the downstairs

I believe with this your points staying in the upstairs has much advantage apart from having security and been comfortable, because one cannot have easy access to it like the one on ground Level.
