Profit sharing for motivation

As a businessman who has a staff of more than 5 should be considerate in giving a monetary reward in the form of profit-sharing when the business is doing good with the profitability. That is the trade mark of banks here. They give profit sharing bonuses to the executives down to the supervisory level. In return the employees would be working diligently with focus on the profitability so next year their profit sharing would be bigger. When I had my business I used to give profit sharing of ½ month of salary to my employees during summer and also for the holiday season.
