The chain of distribution usually encounter lot of problem on the course of distribution of commodities and at most times this problem may alter or destruct the accurate means of distribution this problem are:


Inadequate infrastructural facilities :

In most society and country facilities like electricity and and use of telephone are usually limited the help to facilitate the processing and marketing of goods so when they are in adequate it becomes a problem.


Inadequate storage:

This especially affects perishable product or good which come seasonally. During harvest there is excess supply of these products but there is scarcity as soon as the excess is over.


Packaging problems:

The packaging of goods is not standardised. This may result in damage or loss in transit.


Inadequate transport system:

The poor transport system also affects commodity distribution and marketing in the country. The roads are so bad that commodities sustain great damage due to accidents.


Long chain of distribution :

There are so many middlemen. The numerous links along the chain of distribution makes the prices of commodities to increase.
