Primecoin was launched in July 7, 2013 by Sunny King who also founded other cryptocurrencies like Peercoin.
Primecoin's symbol is Ψ and Ticker is XPM, it was written in C++.
Primecoin utilize on proof of work (POW) algorithm based on Cunningham and bi-twin chains which are helpful to outside blockchain, this was called as Primechain and primecoin was first of it's own.
Although primecoin is active, tt's total supply is 34715373 and none is lost, all coins are circulating in coin market. However, it never become popular, primecoin's market rank is below 1k.
