Launched in 12 Aug 2012 by blockchain genius Sunny King, Peercoin in one of the earliest cryptocurrency. Peercoin's Symbol is Ᵽ and ticker is PPC, it's hash is SHA-256d.
This is the first cryptocurrency which utilize both POW and POS algorithm, this new function was required to recover the lost coins and overcome hoarding problem. POS generate new coins just for holding coins instead of mining.
Although this crypto brought new ways, but this is less popular due to other POS coins/tokens which were able to become more popular, Peercoin in below 500 rank in the coin ranking system. However, Peercoin is still in the market with a total supply of 26700050 PPC circulating in the coin market.
Many exchange markets like HitBTC, Bittrex, HotBit, VCC Exchange etc accept PPC to trade with BTC or USDT with high confidence.
