Some of you may have noticed that YouTube now has the "Channel Membership" feature enabled. On some channels, you'll now see a "Join" button next to the subscribe button.

YouTube Channel Memberships are similar to Patreon in that they allow fans to support a creator's work in exchange for cool privileges.

But Just To aid some people in their decision making on which platform to join.

YouTube -
It's quite simple to create a YouTube subscription channel. Subscribers can easily join a membership channel while remaining on the YouTuber's channel by just clicking a button.

On YouTube value of a piece of content can be determined by the creator. They can charge anywhere from $0.99 to $100 per month for membership.

Patreon -
Creators must register a Patreon account and select the Patreon membership plan they want to offer their patrons. This multimedia streaming network, like YouTube, lets you create as many subscription tiers as you like.

You can charge your fans on a per-video/creation basis or on a monthly Patreon membership basis.

It also provides the creator complete control over the pricing of their work. It is also up to the designer to decide what amenities each tier will provide and at what price.

Here is the thing, don't stress it on which platform to use, if you're only looking for money consider patreon but if you don't just want the money, but the connection and thr brand recognition, then YouTube is better.
