The more older we get and the more responsibilities we have, it becomes necessary to multitask sometimes and some people actually seem to enjoy it.

Starting with it's advantages, it's a way to achieve multiple things in a short while, especially if to they are related or require different levels of focus and concentration. This increases your efficiency and productivity.

Multitasking also allows more flexibility, especially if the tasks take some time to complete. While waiting on one, you can work on another.

Generally, it's agree though that the disadvantages are more than the benefits, especially when it comes to focusing and perfection. Since you're splitting your attention, it's easier to make mistakes you won't even notice until things go wrong.

It can also make you to procastinate more, spending time on tasks that are less important while keeping yourself busy. At the end, instead of multitasking to help you achieve things more efficiently, it does otherwise.
