I have used etsy and facebook marketplace. While on etsy I sell print on demand products and digital items, on facebook I sell old stuff. On facebook marketplace I sell to local buyers, whereas on etsy I sell internationally. It is possible to sell through online marketplace and make money, however, you will have to remember a couple of things such as the product you are selling, SEO and marketing you do on your listing, and the money you spend on advertising.
