The mid afternoon snack is part of our culture that we eat something at around 3 pm to 4 pm to prevent hunger because dinner is still far at usually 8 pm. In this regard the fast food burgers and their snack items have high sales during the period of afternoon snacking.

For the native foods that we have it is nice to eat for snack when it is hot like the porridge or the sweet ginatan as can be seen in the picture above. It is a merry mix of banana plantain, taro, balled glutinous rice, jackfruit and the base is coconut milk with sugar. The ingredients are cheap but the price is not because of the needed laborious preparation. But when delivered hot it is a very satisfying afternoon snack.

Making snacks is cool, in terms of selling, there will be more sale If the snacks is sold In a commercial area like a bus station, and also around school areas. In such places people are in a hurry so they will prefer something quick compare to residential area where people are at home and will have time to make their own food.

The main problem is the market. Where are we going to sell our food? When Covid crisis has pushed a lot of restaurants, diners, eateries, to shut down, how can we sell snacks and make money. The only possibility see here is selling through app or web based food delievery platforms, which are quite popular here.

You look good making those smacks on the picture, i never knew you're a naker too, making sweet snack foods. Selling the food isn't a problem since their is avenue to make use of delivering means. Using a delivery truck to deliver it when people order in wholesale, and you deliver to them using the truck and make it very easy.
