Business management refers to management of the business operations, expenditures, employees, and assets of the company in a proper way. Bushiness management is a very big field and I must say that it is one of the most important fields. In fact, the subject of business management is so important that it is often taught in many universities and many business institutes often offer courses related to commercial management. Many people believe that managing a business is not easy. managing a small business is not easy at all, but when it comes to running a really huge business organization, many people often think that it would be impossible for a single person to handle a big corporation alone.

This question about management of big businesses by a single person has been asked many times. I believe that it is not so easy for a single person to manage a really huge business, but it entirely depends on the nature of business operations. If a business requires you to conduct many operations, then I am sure that it may not be possible for a single individual to handle the business. Please note that the difficulty of business management has nothing to do with the capital invested. So, what do you think? Do you believe that you will be able to handle big businesses alone?

I actually don't think is possible for a single individual to manage a very big company alone. Handling a small company is quite tasking how much more of a big company. The challenges in a big company is more tasking than that of a small company which will require more hands in the company. The taskin a big company require so many hand to manage or handle it properly and so there is need to employ people from different field to man different department. In a large society there is a law that quite the operation of big company or organisation which is know as company law. Company law defind the mode of an organisation and the body structure of that organisation. The duties of each person has been defined in the company law and who is qualify to man a particular office. For a big organization the company law does not allow the company to be run by a single individual and any company that want to operate in such society must obey the company law of that country so therefore it will be difficult for any single individual to operate a big company alone in that kind of society.

To be candid it is near impossible for one person having only one mind to run a big company all alone. The challenges in running a company goes beyond what a single man or woman can handle, even if an individual decides to handle it on their own they will certainly become highly ineffective and inefficient. Because as an entrepreneur you most certainly need the support of other entrepreneur who might be most experienced than you are, and remember no one is an island of knowledge we all keep learning in each passing day. Hence we most certainly need the support of other people to effectively and efficiently run a big company. This is to enable us have a more wider coverage of how our employees are actually piloting the affairs of the organization.

We need other capable hands that will monitor each departments in the company to make sure each unit is living up to their bidings and meeting up with the organizational goals and objectives. Sometimes it even becomes difficult for one person to man up a single department that such head of a department will also require an assistant to make the job more productive and less stressful for the head

My take on management is the style that you can apply depending on the type of business and of the size of the business. Think if there are 100 people in your business and you are the only 1 managing the business. You will need a supervisor to provide guidance to the lower level. Besides, a supervisor acts as the leader of a group. When there are many supervisors then you need a manager. Of course, the owner can always be the one to manage the operation but as the business grows you will be needing more staff on the upper level.

When the biggest bank in our country was pretty small there were only 20 employees in the IT department. As the business grows the head of the department would hire a manager from time to time. Now there are more than 1,000 employees in that particular department. How would a boss handle such a big group if he has no managers and supervisors under him?

I think it will be difficult for anybody to run a big company alone, because it is very hectic to control everything except maybe he will use bots or virtual assistants, for example let's say Mark Zuckerberg to handle Facebook from infrastructure, codebase, marketing, Public relations, it's just impossible and it is a recipe for disaster.

The best thing is not to even try, if your company is big hire capable hands to work for you, I know hiring competent hands is very hard because most of the applicants out there are below par, but still some are willing to learn on the job.

But running a company alone is impossible, I have never heard of it, even start ups have co founders, most accelerator programs encourage co founders, because it's hard to float a company alone.

Anybody that is establishing a business should not be thinking of running the business alone because that is not likely to be possible , a business organisation is a type of organisation that are to be managed by a lot of people and not only a single individual because as a single individual you will not be the security, the accountant or occupied all the necessary position in the business organisation , that is just the reason a lot of business owners will likely employ people to filled in a certain position because they won't be able to occupied them all alone.

In as much as establishing a business is not really easy but if a person is capable of establishing business there is 95% possibility that the business owners will not likely be able to run the business alone because employees will be needed to run the business effectively.

And I won't even see how a person who have spends a lot of money to establish a business won't employ people to work in the business organisation , in such a situation that a business owner does not want to employ people into his or her business organisation then such business Maybe at risk of not working properly.

That cannot really be possible because big business organisations need a lot of people and brains in order to keep it competitive. There is no way one person can handle every business duty and expect such a business to become successful and that is the reason why in big businesses you will see a lot of people heading different positions and roles.
If you look at big companies like Apple, you will see that it is not headed by one person but different individuals with their business capabilities even though one person maybe the owner but he or she cannot lead the business alone and expect it to be successful. There is a lot of competition in the market and any business owner must try as much as possible to employ people to help him or her to run a business successfully. There are some certain things that makes a business successful and one of them is a competitive team not a competitive individual. the management team must be a team of competitive individuals that have proper knowledge and understanding of how a business works that comes together to make a business successful. if the business is owned by one person then the owner must employ passionate people for the business to be successful.

It isn't possible, no matter the angle you look at it from - once the processes are expanding, you'll need specialists and teams to ensure effectiveness.
Another reason that would require you hire other people would be the fact that you need to expand and since the business owner isn't and cannot be a jack of all trades, he definitely cannot handle all aspects of the business else there'll be slow growth, ineffectiveness and breakdown of health

The answer to this question depends on what you mean by "big company." If you mean a very large, international, publicly traded enterprise with thousands of employees and multiple divisions in countries around the globe, then no.

If you mean a small business with just one or two employees, then yes. There are many examples of single-person businesses in all types of industries, including restaurants, consulting services, and marketing/advertising companies.

The size of the company is not the only factor when determining if it can be run by one person. The experience level of the individual is another. A large, global enterprise would likely need to hire experienced managers and executives to run it effectively; a small business can often be managed by someone who has worked for many years in the industry but has never had their own business before.

While it's true that many companies are run by teams, there are still some who claim to be able to do everything themselves. This isn't always a good thing. When a single person runs a large company, they can easily become overwhelmed with the tasks at hand and struggle to keep things running smoothly. This can cause stress and even illness, which ultimately leads to a loss in productivity and revenue.

With the right team members in place, a single person can run a company without becoming stressed or sick, and without losing revenue or productivity.

Management involves so many things which involves; planning, organizing, controlling, budgeting and staffing. It is impossible for an individual to manage effectively a big company singlehandedly. Management demands a lot, planning cannot be carried out effectively by one individual. Planning involves decisions to be made and the quality of decisions made would determine how successful the planning outcome would be. Organizing also involves a whole lot and cannot be maged effectively by a single being. Even when you register for programmes in reputable business schools, you would be too effective management which requires diversity of like minds, which ultimately means that you cannot work alone and achieve the perfect outcome. You need to engage other experts and your employees to get the work done and so you do not breakdown. When the workload is too much on one individual, there is a great tendency that it would affect your decision skills and your psychological health will breakdown subsequently.
Management involves and requires controlling, here, it does not mean that the employees should be handled rigidly but it means that in any organisation, there is always hierarchy and the subordinates ought to be loyal to their superiors and controlling comes into play to ensure discipline and this cannot be managed alone by one person.
