Is estate planning for everyone?

Estate planning is for everyone, but not everyone needs to do it. It's a good idea for all kinds of people, but not everyone needs to do it. People who are married, who have children and want to leave some money behind for them, should take advantage of the benefits of estate planning.

If you're single, you may decide that estate planning is not important to you because your assets will be protected by other people in your life — a spouse or partner, parents, grandparents or other relatives. If so, there are different types of estate plans available that allow you to leave something behind for your children or grandchildren while still being able to protect your assets from being taken by anyone else who might come after them later on down the road. It's advisable and important you consider this, as there are more advantages of doing it over not.
