When someone purchases those products, they earn good money. There are various ways of promoting those products and many people often promote goods through blogs and websites.

Another famous method of earning affiliate commissions is by joining an affiliate program. Many people also use social media networks to promote products and some people even use digital marketing methods to make sure that their affiliate links are being spread on various platforms. However, I believe that affiliate marketing is somewhat a bit overrated way of making money. The reason why I am saying this is because you will not earn a single penny until or unless someone buys products through your blog or link. What if no one buys anything from you? You will not be able to earn anything during that month, right? So is it overrated?

I do not think affiliate marketing is overrated, the only problem is that most persons tend to make it look alot easier than it really is. Affiliate marketing can be pretty difficult, especially during the first stage.

These people make fake videos claiming that they make thousands and even millions of dollars on monthly basis from affiliate marketing but that is not true. If you apply those methods they teach, you will not make money.

I don't think Affiliate marketing is overrated because many people are making a lot of money doing it especially bloggers and YouTubers, so it won't make sense if we dismiss it.

But what I know is it have a huge entry barrier because if you don't have influence you can't really make anything tangible with affiliate marketing you need to build your brand and be able to attract potential buyers to your page and then sell to them, you'll just frustrate your life if you think you can make money with affiliate marketing if your blog receives zero traffic or your Facebook page has zero likes.

So success in affiliate marketing needs a thorough process, building a brand is not something you just do in a day, you have to do it consistently and over time you'll build a solid relationship with your audience and they'll trust you enough to buy from you or refer someone to buy from you.

This is the reason most people think it's overrated because many people are involved in it but very few are making real money from it.
