How Vkontakte, a social media giant will integrate NTF and blockchain technology

The world of NFT is growing bigger and many conglomerates , institutions, social media etc are exploring the goodies in the NFT technology. The NFT as seen an exponential growth since its inception and the growth was so alarming that the major stakeholders in the cryptocurrency market are starting to dive into the NFT marketplace.

The juicy rewards that the platform provide is so enormous and most importantly, it creat an avenue for the monetization of contents. The contents creators now have unending opportunities to make money from their contents via the NFT technology. Everyone is currently jumping on the myriad of opportunities created by this platform.


The social media bigwig in Russia, Vkontakte has made it clear that it will put its interest in NFTs and the blockchain technology. This is aimed at protecting the content of its users and also monetizing them. However, it was made clearer that the social media giant is not ready to create its own blockchain but will act as intermediary between its users and the blockchain provider.

The technical director of Vkontakte, Alexander Tobol explained that the company would act as an intermediary in the process of the project execution and it will ensure the protection of its over 100 million users. We have seen social media integrating the blockchain technology on there platforms recently and this is an indication that they are moving alongside the developing technologies.
