A business is an organization that produces goods or provides services for sale to consumers. The word business is derived from the Old French word bureaus, which means 'tobury.' Therefore, a business is essentially a group of people who bury their money in order to earn an income. Since earning an income is essential for living a healthy life, a person must choose to become a businessman or a businesswoman. Running a business successfully requires several skills, including planning and leadership.

A businessman must maintain strict personal discipline. He must ensure that he does not overindulge in monetary success or in sensual pleasures. Furthermore, he must refrain from falling prey to the wiles of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. It is important for a businessman to avoid associating with disreputable characters like these. At the same hand, he should avoid being too rigid in his personal behavior and ethics. Avoiding all loose living is not possible, but maintaining an honorable code of conduct is essential.

It is also essential for a businessman to remain vigilant and to be prompt in all his assignments. A delayed delivery or inferior quality product adversely affects the profits generated by his business. Being late for work or meetings causes stress and can cause customers to lose trust in an entrepreneur's abilities as a leader and as a man. Additionally, if the owner of the business is late for work or meetings, this behavior may negatively affect the sales generated by his business. A good rule of thumb when assigning tasks to subordinates is to schedule your meetings before breakfast so you can leave on time.

To maximize the chances of generating revenue, it is crucial that businesses meet their deadlines, both internal and external ones. Late mailings and failed orders often occur because orders were not anticipated in advance by the owner of the business. Additionally, if sales deadlines are missed, management may lose interest in continuing business with that particular entrepreneur or firm. Failing to meet deadlines also negatively affects investors' expectations for revenue generation by the business. Failure to meet deadlines often occurs because the owner does not have adequate time management skills or because there have been delays caused by failure to follow orders properly by workers or sub-contractors.

A successful businessman relies on sound leadership skills and strict personal discipline to ensure that he maximizes profits in his endeavors. He makes sure that he does not miss work deadlines or assignments nor does he fall prey to sinful pleasures. He also remains vigilant and prompt so that he meets his commitments promptly and effectively.

These are theory definitions but in the practice a successful businessman is someone how is friendly with employees not someone selfish and don't care about others. Else, employees will not do their best at work and ignore his guidelines. And may good elements leave work for meeting everyday someone emiting orders and being selfish with people.
