Being a location manager, the job is straightforward if you ask me, because it is quite descriptive and easy to understand, even from the name, you would understand what the definition entails, it is all about being the person that will help them provide the location that will be used for a particular movie, and this job usually come as a contract, you would be asked how much it will cost you to carry out your work then from there, you will add your pay to it as a commission. Anybody doing this job works mostly with the directors because they are the ones that decide how a movie will be directed and make sure it all goes well as planned. To make money from it often, you must be ready to make sure you are well connected with a lot of film makers and most especially the movie directors, you will find a way to have many contacts that works in that line of career so you can called for work. Yours is to provide the suitable location for the film that wants to be shot, but before then, they would have explained to you, the kind of place they want and yours is to bring it to reality for them.
