If you want to find out if you are dealing with a wrong business partner, you should measure the values, goals and vision. Do you have good communication relationship? How is the contribution from both parties, are there great discrepancies? Check if there any form of mismanagement of resources or if anybody is violating any form of business policies especially those solely related to the business. Do you have personal issues and more. However, if you think you guys are contributing so much and nothing is changing, probably you are not compatible, you might need someone that will be able to do the extra you all are not doing. Make sure you check for all these because if you don't, it will hinder the business.

Alignment of goals is important if a business partnership would ever turn out to be good. Any business partner that does not naturally share the same goals with you would always work against you to achieve his or her own goal.

That's why the process of choosing a business partner is not what I think people should do within a timeframe of 5 months. It should take a longer period of about a year of constant interaction to be able to detect the actual mindset of a potential business partner.

And lastly, a business partner that is always self seeking in goals is a very wrong business partner for anyone to deal with.

Keep tabs on values, goals, and communication with your business partner. Look out for discrepancies in contributions and any signs of mismanagement. Personal issues can also be a factor. If you're putting in the work but not seeing results, it might be time to consider a change.

At times businesses partner with each other in order to bring in new ideas and also fuse resources and mental intelligence together so that goes on objectives can be accomplished and also problems likely to be emanated be easily handled. The individual or the business which is your partner must also possess strong and repeatable experience in the business sector and one of the ways you can be able to find out is by examining their past records and financial statements. You can also do well to ask others around about how such business have operated in the past and in this way you could be able to find the answers to your question.
