How to Eat Right in Order to Stay Healthy.

The 'main food' your family eats usually provides most but not all of the body's energy and other nutritional needs. By adding helper foods yo the main food you can make low- cost nutritious meals. You do not have yo eat all the foods listed here to be healthy. Eat the main foods you are accustomed to , and add whatever ' helper foods' are available in your area.Try to include ' helper foods' from each group, as often ad possible.
These food are:

GO FOODS( Energy Helpers)
examples of this are:
Fats ( vegetable oil, butter, lard)
Foods rich in fats( coconut, olives, fatty meat).
Nuts (Groundnut, almonds, walnut, cashews).
Sugars ( sugar, honey, molasses, sugar can't, jaggery).

MAIN FOODS
Exames are:
Cereals and grains ( West, maize, rice, millet, sorghum).
Starchy toots ( cassava, potatoes, taro).
Starch fruits ( banana, plantain, breadfruit)
Note the main foods are cheap sources of energy. The cereals are also cheap sources of protein, iron and vitamins.

GROW FOODS( proteins or body - building helpers)
Examples:
Legumes ( beans, peas, and lentils)
Nuts (groundnuts,walnuts, cashews and almonds).
Oil seeds ( sesame and sunflower).
Animal Products ( milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt,fish,chicken, meat, small animals such as mice, and insects).

GLOW FOODS ( vitamins and minerals or protective helpers).
Examples:
Vegetables ( dark green leafy plants, tomatoes,carrots pumpkin, sweet potato, turnips, kale, leeks , and peppers).
Fruits ( mangoes, oranges, papayas and custard apples).

One need to be eating all these in order to Stay Healthy.

To be frank with the food, not everyone knows what good food is. For me, good food is the food that I like with not much bad side effect. Take for instance beef which is nice to eat but you should be eating sparingly and not to indulge. Also, you should not eat beef too often, maybe once a week would be okay. That also goes for the other meat like pork and chicken. By the way, the doctor in our family said that chicken meat nowadays are too heavy with cholesterol so we should avoid it as much as we can. The impurities in the chicken meat may be brought about by the vitamins and antibiotic that are given to the chicken.

Fish and vegetables are the favorite food to be recommended by people in the medical field, be they doctors, nurses and dietitians. However, there are fish that are also rich in cholesterol so we should know that. With vegetables it is best to eat in rotation which means you do not eat squash every day for a week, that is too much squash. With the right food we can have a better health especially when you add exercise.

I think these days alot of persons are trying to monitor what they eat, gone are the days people just eat whatever they like without a care as to how it would affect their lifestyle or even their health in general. This become even of a concern during the pandemic, as alot of persons started putting in more effort to protect their health and immune system. Though food is important to have a healthy body but food is not the only way, having periodic workouts also counts.
