Here's How to Negotiate with Every Single one of Your Creditors

Credit card companies:

Don't tell them you have a low credit score. If you do, they'll think you're lying and they'll lower their offers. You should always tell them you have a good credit score so that they can't pull out any tricks when it comes to negotiations.

Don't just say "I want 20% less than the interest rate shown on my statement." Instead, ask for something like "I'd like to pay off my balance in three months." That way, if they agree on such a short repayment plan, you'll be able to pay off your debt faster and save yourself money in interest payments over time.

Your goal is to get rid of as much debt as possible as quickly as possible. So don't worry about paying off your credit card balance each month — just focus on getting rid of your debt faster than it's accumulating by paying off certain debts first.
