The global conglomerate recently announced a number of newly customized products for the Indian market. Google has expressed a preference for products that support Indian languages. The announcement was prompted by the growing number of Indian internet users, who prompted the company to aim to expand its reach across the country.

At this year's Google event in India, the company stated that it is looking for solutions to the problem. This comes after the online giant announced that the number of Indian-speaking web users is expected to reach 500 million by the end of 2020. Every year, the country receives around 40 million unique users, primarily from rural areas rather than metropolitan areas.

The intention to activate the dormant products that are already in place was also revealed, with some of them receiving assistance for new languages.

Google Maps: Voice assistance in both Hindi and English will be available to Indians.
Google feed: Available in Hindi and English, with plans to add Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, and Marathi.
Look it up on Google. News can be found in both languages. The new English and Hindi dictionaries are also available.
Google Assistant now supports Marathi, with seven other Indian languages on the way.
The company discovered that the vast majority of Indian internet users today speak native Indian languages. On average, the amount of content available online in Indian languages is less than 1% of what is available in English today.
