Gestational age is the age in weeks at which the baby is born.
Baby can be pre term and post term.
Pre-term premature baby is one born before the 37th week of pregnancy. Fullerton baby is one born after the 37th week of pregnancy. It is 40 weeks of pregnancy.
Post-term post mature is one born after the 42 weeks for pregnancy.
In Full term, the baby is usually relatively nomal.
There is neither birth and anoxia nor asphyxia.
Nutrition oxygenation are adequate.
A post maturity it is known that after the 42 weeks of pregnancy the placenta naturally begin to degenerate. the baby then suffer from placenta insufficiency there is birth anoxia leading to fetal distress and there is also a passage or meconium.
Most of the baby that are matured are born with these features.
such as bright face and shining eyes, dry and peeling skin covered with meconium, that is all always meconium aspiration.
