Just like it is important to have an excellent self reputation same is applicable to a business. A business having a good reputation will help retain customers and bring new customers.

The fact Is thst there are factors that aid in damaging a business reputation. these factors include the following;

Faulty products or services
Selling faculty products or offering services that are not up to par will definitely damage the reputation of a business

Poor customer support
When once you are not offering good customer support then you are ruining the business reputation. No customer will want to be treated poorly by a business.

Negative publicity

This is about high-profile failures in the press. When once your business isn't representing positivity in the media it is damaging the reputation of the business.

fraud incidents,
No customer want to be associated with a fraudulent company. So when once there's fraud going on in a business they are off as such business can't be trusted.

Reputation is so important for any business and it needs to be protected with absolutely everything. When you brand loyalty, it is mostly based on reputation. That is why you would see a product that is far cheaper than it's competitor selling faster than the cheaper alternative. That's because the business and the product have had a solid and good reputation over the years.

That's the reason big organizations don't like being dragged on social media. They value their reputation and won't want it to be soiled. Your reputation would invariably affect your sales. You have to build a sound reputation as part of you brand identity.

I am helplessly loyal to some organizations because they have been able to build a sound reputation over a long period of time. As a business orgay, avoid scandals at all cost. Make sure you staff don't do things that would damage the good name of the organization.
