Problem property is a term that is adopted by city governments looking to put pressure to the owners and managers of buildings where crime has happened.

it can also be described as any land or building that has negative issues attached to it, these negative issues are like natural disasters, difficulty to sell, uncertain ownership, flooding etc

When it comes to the real estate
industry, , it is assumed that landlords have a big role to Play. One of their duties is to ensure tenants will not engage in criminal behavior, that might impacts negatively onnthe quality of life of other neighbors.

The fact is that the failure of some landlords to screen tenants well for their property can lead to greater criminality. With this will bring lower quality of life for other neighbours.

So the government are always after landlords from having problem property because they want a reduce crime rate for all the property available in their units.
