Etsy and Zazzle are both popular online marketplaces to sell various items, including handmade and customized products. These platforms have similarities as well as some key differences.

Product types

Etsy is the best for handmade products as well as vintage item. Zazzle, on the other hand, offers a wide range of custom designed products such as apparel, home decor items, etc.

Design tools

Zazzle has its own in-built design tool. You can create and design products using Zazzle. However, this option is not available on Etsy. You will have to use third party design platform. Since Zazzle has an in-built design tool, it allows users to customize products with their own designs, however, on Etsy you will have to use pre-made options.

Commission structure

Zazzle has a flat commission structure. Whereas, on Etsy you will have to pay listing fees as well as pay commission on every product sold.

Target audience

Etsy is basically used by people who are looking to buy unique, handmade, and vintage items, therefore, if you specialize in this area, you can try Etsy. However, Zazzle is geared toward those who want to buy and sell custom-designed products. However, on a safer side, try both and focus on the one where you start succeeding.
