Etsy is an online marketplace to sell physical, digital, and print on demand item. Shopify is ecommerce content management system for creating your own online store, you can sell physical items, digital items, print-on-demant items, or even dropship. Woocommerce is wordpress plugin that allows you to create online store on any wordpress website, you can use woocommerce websites to sell anything from physical and digital products to service,s affiliate products, or even dropship.

Etsy has 20 cent listing fees, plus 6.5 percent sales commission. Sopify cost $29 per month, Woocommerce is free but you might have to use paid wordpress theme or plugins.

If you want to sell online, I recommend Etsy compared to shopify or woocommerce. Shopify is very expensive. Woocommerce is free but you will have to spend a lot of money on marketing and a lot of efforts to do SEO. However, Etsy has organic traffic, advertising is none essential. With shopify and woocommerce, you will have to do branding, for Etsy that is absolutely unnecessary.

However, the problem with shopify is it is very expensive. You will have to spend $29 per month just to use it. You will also have to buy a lot of add ons to customize your store. While you don't have to pay for products while doing print-in-demand, you will have to sell a lot of products just to cover the website running fees. Woocommerce is good but you need a domain and hosting (you need a better hosting package because your website is dealing with payment). If you want to start small, Etsy is good, however, if you want to start small and build your own business, woocommerce s better. YOu can go with shopify if you have a big budget and can run a website through your pockets for at least one year.
