THE CANDIDATE
Dr. Timothy Ursich, a candidate for the California State Senate, has advocated making Dogecoin as legal tender in the state. Ursich has requested Billy Marcus, the co-founder of Dogecoin, and Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, to support his campaign.

CHALLENGE
Current Senator Alex Padilla, who was selected to fill the vacancy left by Kamala Harris's appointment as Vice President, is the clear favourite to win the election. Ursich is attempting to toople Padilla, although he is one of the least popular candidates in California. This new dogecoin based political limelight has gained a little attention only, but Doge supporters are giving positive comments.

POSSIBILITY
Ursich has made healthcare a priority in his campaign, but he will need to make a variety of wagers in order to win the election. California Governor Newsom's executive order on May 4, 2022, established California as the crypto-friendly state. This was also supported by Elon Musk. Ursich's Dogecoin endorsement is intended to gain the cryptocurrency acquire popularity on this basis.​
