Understanding domain name extension also known as the top level domain TLDs is very important because it play a crucial role in defining your website identity, the purpose and also it demonstrates its geographical relevance.

The .com extension is the best and most popular recognized TLD because it offer credibility, familiarity and it also show global recognition for businesses.

You can also consider using country code TLDs such as .uk, .de, .JP etc this is used to target specific geographical regions or countries and it will enhance your website relevance within the geographical location. It will also help to enhance local visibility.

I think I understand domain names. Dot com, do net, dot org were some of the domain names that were first released. IN the beginning, domain extension were properly used to the sites what those extensions implied, for instance for commercial sites people used dot co, for non profit websites people used dot org, however, these days people use almost any kind of domain. Most of the extensions are the abridged version of some word, for instance dot com is for commercial, dot net s for network, etc.

A domain can function as a substitute for an IP address which has three elements such as TDL, SLD and 3LD. All of these elements have different roles, so you can determine what extension is suitable for your website, such as org, com, edu etc., which will be placed in the domain name after the dot (.). There are several types of domain extensions available out there such as gTLD, sTLD, NgTLD and ccTLD. So the main function of the extension or TLD is as an identity for your website, if the ID means your website is from Indonesia, etc.

Does it apply for the NFT domain name that becomes reputable domain name like .nft or .opensea or these extensions that relates to web 3 and that are sold by unsuportable domain?

Absolutely, I have a firm grasp on the significance and purpose of domain name extensions. These suffixes, such as .com, .org, or .net, serve to categorize websites based on their intended use or entity type. For instance, .com typically denotes commercial businesses, while .org is reserved for non-profit organizations. Geographic extensions like .us or .ca represent countries as well.

Yes I have understanding of TLDs, this is really important. Using TLDs for different purposes would be applicable but according to my understanding if you are planning to target the global audience then .com, .net or .org would be more convenient while of you are targeting some specific country then use that country's TLD.

Understanding a domain extension is pretty easy because every country has its own denomination for example I live in Nigeria and our extension in .ng, Ghana is .gh and United Kingdom as .uk, but you can also purchase domain of other country you don't live in, for example if you have a business and you're looking at expanding to other countries you can purchase the domain of that particular country.

But all in all, the .com is the best domain to get because it's more professional, has more mass appeal and can be used all over the world, you can use .net or .co if your intended .com domain is taken.
